Washing instructions

You can rely on purchasing good quality whenever you purchase articles from All4Designs. We have a number of recommendations so that you can maintain the quality as long as possible.

Clothing

We first of all give preference to washing clothing in a washing machine, as this is a safe method.

We furthermore recommend that you:
  • Sort the clothing depending upon the quality of the material and the washing instructions on the label.
  • Empty the pockets.
  • It is better to wash and iron the clothing inside out. This prevents any dull streaks.
  • Use the correct amount of detergent.
  • Set the washing machine to the correct programme.
  • It can sometimes be tempting to overload the washing machine, but this will only result in problems. The laundry cannot  adequately tumble during the wash cycle and will not come out as clean as it should be. In addition, the detergent cannot dissolve adequately, which increases the risk of detergent residue, stains and inadequate cleansing.
  • Remove any clothing with two or more colours from the machine as soon as possible once the wash cycle is complete. This to prevent the colours from bleeding.
  • Make sure that the clothing can amply tumble while being dried in the dryer. Overloading the dryer may result in excessive crinkling. The clothing may be damaged due to excess heat if the ventilation hole of the dryer becomes clogged up.
  • Do keep in mind that cotton always shrinks by about 5%

Washing symbols

Below, we explain the meaning of the symbols as these are shown on the washing instructions label on our articles.

Tips for removing spots:

Blood stains
Briefly soak the clothing in a mixture of milk and water (half and half), then wash the clothing in the washing machine.

Rust stains
Small rust stains sometimes develop around the press-studs. You can remove these by using a rust stain remover, which is available at the chemist’s.

Chewing gum
Try to harden the chewing gum by means of freezing. Cover the chewing gum stain with a small bag of ice-cubes. Chewing gum in textile is best removed by keeping the textile in the freezer overnight. Scrap the chewing gum off the material once it has hardened.

Felt-tip pen
Dampen a clean, white cloth with water and dab the stain thoroughly. Rub the stain with ossegalzeep (green soap) and rinse. Use a bleaching agent to remove any residue.

Red wine
Absorb the spot as much as possible. Then dab the stain with vinegar.

Or, generously sprinkle salt on the wine spot. Then use vinegar to remove the stain. Residues can be removed using a bleaching agent.

A quick way to neutralise the effect of red wine stains on clothing during an evening out is to dab the stain with white wine. Once you arrive home, use a bleaching agent to remove the stain.

Horse blankets

Bring your horse blankets to a specialised launderette.

Saddlecloths

You should take much care when washing saddlecloths.

We furthermore advise that you:

  • Following the washing instructions on the label and set the washing machine at the correct programme.
  • Make sure that you wash the saddlecloths in the washing machine separately, without any other articles.
  • Saddlecloths with a fur layer should be washed by hand only.
  • Do not dry the saddlecloths in a dryer.
  • Use the correct amount of detergent.
